Cut Bank and Browning

June 15, 2015

So this past week was both hectic and fun! I picked up my new companion Elder Masauo who is from Chuuk, Micronesia. It is a small island in the middle of nowhere. Anyway he got settled in and we taught some good lessons together. He is still working on his English. He has done pretty good for being in the states only 10 months. He is a super humble and awesome missionary and I am glad to be working with him. He still has to get use to being in America rather than Microneisa. But our investigators on date are doing fantastic. Kylee who is a 9 year old girl is getting baptized this Friday out in Choteau. Then this week we have missionary leadership training out in Helena. The Butte zone, Helena zone and Great falls zone are all going to be there. also I was able to get a sweet fleece Pendleton blanket. Elder Masauo makes the best fish ever and that's what the second picture is. Then the third is Elder Masauo trying to hit rocks with a stick he found while we were tracking in this place called Blackfoot. Which is the fourth picture. This Sunday in gospel principles class I had the opportunity to teach about sacrifice. I realized the sacrifice I have made giving up one tenth of my life right now. I do miss all the stuff and friends and family. But i have seen the growth in me a lot in these last few weeks. I have seen some what of what kind of person I want to grow up to be. I really hope everybody has a great week and Love you all!!!!  I also got this sweet hat

Cut Bank another go around!

June 8, 2015

I am glad to inform everybody that this transfer has left me in the coldest spot in the nation the one and only Cut Bank Montana. HAHAha  I am staying here another transfer and my new companion is Elder Masuoa something like that I dont know yet. But the Cut Bank and Browning areas are getting to be on fire. We have two solid people on date. Looking to put some more people on date later this week. We have a Baptism the 19th of this month and I am stoked for it to happen. The people on the Reservation are so interesting and spiritual. They suprise me every time with something new. Anyway I have a great feeling the work out here is going to blossom soon and I cant wait to see it.  The scripture of the week is Helaman 5:12. I hope everybody has a great week. Love you all!!!!

Weekly Email of the Week, About My Week!

June 1, 2015

Good Morning everybody. This past week has been super busy and tiring. We went to Great Falls twice once for Zone training and then for our dinner with the Stake Presidency. The zone training went really well. We learned about the book of mormon and how to apply it to our teachings. We also did skits about a story in the book of Mormon. The we also had to search for the gold plates which one elder hid. but i found them :). Anyway at the end we made our title of liberty just as Moroni did with the nephites. Moroni's title of liberty stated. "In memory of our God,our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children" Ours was quotes that we liked and when we are how long we are serving for. It was a great way for our zone to come together. The quote i put on the Title of Liberty was " Never Let your faith be difficult to detect" by J. Ruben Clark. Anyway we are going to great falls for a zone preperation day so looking forward to that. Also had Branch conferance this past sunday in Cut Bank.

Cut Bank week 2

May 25, 2015

Well everybody this past week was really good!!! We had interviews with President Mecham our last formal interview with him. Elder Ward, Elder Howard, Elder Wilden and I all carpooled to Great Falls and It was a 2 hour trip. Fun times. But anyway Today Elder Ward and I are going to Glacier Park with some members to go hike. I will make sure to get some pictures for everybody. Also serving on the reservation is both super fun and hard. Everybody is super spiritual and is willing to learn about Jesus but not keep there commitments. Anyway we have a lot of sorting through investigators to do.

May 18, 2015

Well hello everybody! It has been a crazy weekend. Saturday morning I we just finished personal study when we got a call that I was being Transferred to Cut Bank, Montana. I had to pack within the hour. Never packed so fast in my life. My new companion is Elder Ward! He has been here for almost 3 months. But it feels weird being transferred in the middle of the transfer. But Cut bank also covers Browning which is the Reservation. Looking forward to serving there. There are a ton of dogs there. It started to snow yesterday morning which was fun for may. (said no one ever) HAHAHA Anyway my new address is
123 1/2 4th ave se
Cut Bank Montana 59427

Yes the is 1/2 there are half houses here. People live on the same property but have separate houses. Anyway I am still getting use to the new area since I got here Saturday afternoon.  Anyway I hope every body has a great week. :)
13 For they knew not that Moroni had fortified, or had built forts‍ of security, for every city in all the land round about; therefore, they marched forward to the land of Noah with a firm determination; yea, their chief captains came forward and took an oath‍ that they would destroy the people of that city.
14 But behold, to their astonishment, the city of Noah, which had hitherto been a weak place, had now, by the means of Moroni, become strong, yea, even to exceed the strength of the city Ammonihah.
15 And now, behold, this was wisdom in Moroni; for he had supposed that they would be frightened at the city Ammonihah; and as the city of Noah had hitherto been the weakest part of the land, therefore they would march thither to battle; and thus it was according to his desires.
16 And behold, Moroni had appointed Lehi to be chief captain over the men of that city; and it was that same‍ Lehi who fought with the Lamanites in the valley on the east of the river Sidon.

5 Month Mark! (yesterday)

May 4, 2015

Whooooo I hit 5 months yesterday! Time has flown by really fast. I dont know where its going?? I am in Fairfield Montana. This town is pretty good so far. I have walked it at least 10 to 15 times. Anyway my first couple days here we helped a less active who is 95 years old and is still going strong. He has an electric scooter which I took a picture on. He also has a 50's jeep he rebuilt.
He took us to lunch at the senior center and we met all the old people of fairfield. Also met a lot of Mennonites. For those of you who dont know what a mennonite is its a break off from the hutterites who is a break off of the amish. They are all over in Montana. We are also teaching some.  Anyway Great time to be a missionary!!! Love you all

Hey everybody how's it going? This past week was fun and exciting! We had Friday night a Steak dinner at a restaurant  called Jakers and had a pretty expensive steak! It was really good and I Loved it! The on Saturday we Ate Sushi which for Montana Was Bomb!!! I forgot how good sushi was. Then we also got to hear from hank smith. He is an inspirational speaker that speaks all over. He is like john bythway and Brad Willcox. But he spoke about building an unshakeable testimony. It was really good and I learned a lot. These pictures at the bottom are Elder Page and I and Hank Smith, Then Elder page and I in the car on a snowy rainy day, then the last I did my hair and took a selfie with my new tie Elder Barney had given me. I have started doing my hair which is a first and is scary. but you got to look good as a missionary. HAhahah anyway Vergal's baptism is being moved from the 25th because of family attendance but he is so close and so ready. I have seen this kids gospel understanding grow and bloom and it has made my testimony grow as well! I am super excited for this kid and cant wait to see him in a couple years. Anyway I hope everybody has a Great and Wonder Full week!
Love you all!!

Scripture of the week!!!!

12 ¶And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the Lord.
13 And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.
14 So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
15 But when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
16 But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
17 And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
18 And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.
19 But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
20 And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
21 And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
22 And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
23 Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them.
24 When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.
25 And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
26 And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.
27 And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.
28 And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the Lord hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.

Thought this was pretty funny!!

But for realz
Mosiah2:17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.

April 13, 2015

I love Being a missionary. It has been one of the best things I have done. I cant imagined what I would be doing at home right now. I love being in montana and serving the lord here. I am glad for everybody who encouraged me to go!! So Sunday my comp and I had to give a talk in 5th ward then he gave one in 4th ward as well. So he used the same talk. But I have found it easier to write talks on my mission. Anyway our baptism that was supposed to happen on the 11th got postponed and is now moved to the 25th but it is still on and ready to go! I am super excited for this kid who is 16 and is striving to do his best to be ready to be baptized. We get to start using bikes now, I am looking forward to that except when I got my bike it had no inner tube in the front tire and the back was super flat. Good thing I learned how to fix a bike several times. Anyway I had a great week I hope you all did to! Hey I would love to here from everybody. maybe not all at once. But hey Have a Great week.

LOVE

I asked him about conference.
My week has been good. Elder Page's grandma passed away so it was hard to help him cope but we are getting through it. For Easter we went to the Baileys for the first session and ate lunch and breakfast then for dinner and the second session we ate at the Jensen's a less active family in 5th ward and they have a ton of birds. So we played yahtzee and some other dice games but had a blast will send pictures in a bit.
